Work Remote In DTLA (W/ Free Wi-Fi!)
Working in an office or from home can get a little boring (besides the fact that you can wear PJ’s all day if you’re working from home). If you’re in the mood to be out in society while still getting things done, we’ve gathered a list of places around Downtown Los Angeles catered to you, with FREE Wi-Fi, that may inspire you to trade in your cabin fever days with catching a cool vibe elsewhere.
Write drunk, edit sober.
They make a soothing Early Grey Tea Latte — perfect thing to wake you up and get focused. On Thirsty Thursdays, all beers on the bottom row of the menu wall are only $5 — perfect for igniting your creative side. Good vibes and great customer service.
Fresh air and ambience.
Coffee Counter on the first floor has more of a cozy vibe while Upstairs Bar on the rooftop gives you the feels from the morning sun, to beautiful golden hour, all the way until the sun sets. Trust us, the airiness from atop will have you feeling productive and inspired.
A little background noise never hurt nobody.
Grand Central Market is the place you want to be if you thrive off of the hustle and bustle of all types of people but can easily cancel out the noise to focus in on your projects. G & B is toward one of the large openings at GCM so at anytime, you can take a break and get some air. Plus, there's plenty of tables to work (but probably not on the weekends).
Best of both worlds.
You love coffee but you NEED juice to get you through your heavy workload, your Monday blues, or you just feel like working somewhere cute. Our favorite is the Vanilla Latte w/ almond milk (just the right amount of sweetness) and the Greens #5 Juice (it has a little pineapple kick to it). The obvious reason why we love this place so much is the lush green walls that welcome you as you’re walking up and this is the most intimate Verve location. Parking is tough but when you snag a great work space, it’s all worth it.
Holy sh*t: self-serve boba.
If you're going to do work elsewhere, you might as well treat yourself too! Boba lovers, this one's for you because YES to self-serve boba and YES to additional toppings with no additional cost, plus sweetness modifications. They have a good amount of work tables and cute merch so don't be afraid to get ready to get #bobawasted here.
For the night owl.
If your best work happens after regular work hours and you want to see the sun set from a rooftop in Downtown LA, this is the place for you. They're open from 4pm-2am Thursday-Saturday and 4pm-1am Sunday-Tuesday — more than enough time to be on your work grind while you sip on their "Hemingway On The Beach" cocktail.
