Spas in LA That'll Fit Your Vibe and Your Budget
Los Angeles is home to many, many spas and it can be a little daunting trying to pick out the right one. We’ve done our homework and have complied a list of great places to check out if you’re in the need of some self care.
Wi Spa - One of the most well known spas in Los Angeles, and for good reason. This 48,000-square-foot Korean spa is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The base entrance fee will get you access to the showers, a clay sauna, a Himalayan salt sauna, a jade sauna, pools and hot tubs. You can add an array of massages, body buffs, facials, and manicures and pedicures. If you want some fresh air in between treatments, there is a quaint rooftop lounge area. There is also a restaurant on the property (also open 24 hours!) so you really can spend your whole day here. And just when you think it couldn’t get any better – there’s free valet parking available!
Olympic Spa - Another Korean Spa–these places really give you the best value for your money. This one in particular is known for its “Goddess” treatment–and yes, it does live up to its name. You start off with the standard body scrub, which is followed by an “aromatic seaweed body shampoo.” Then comes the massage, which includes an essential oil scalp massage. A face mask is applied, and your hair is shampooed. Finally, you will be slathered with a body emulsion to hydrate and lock all of the moisture in. Let me tell you–you will never feel cleaner in your life… like, ever. Oh, and there’s a Korean cafe if you work up an appetite during your treatment. (p.s. this one is female-only)
Beverly Hot Springs - The only natural hot spring spa in Los Angeles, Beverly Hot Springs is a must-do. They have a wide variety of services, including massages, facials, spray tanning, and hair removal. A dip in the mineral springs is the perfect way to prepare for one of their stellar body scrubs. They do enforce a pretty quiet ambiance, so either come here on a solo day or when you’re really ready to get zen.
Desuar - This luxurious-feeling spa is located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. This spa features a reflexology room, Himalayan salt crystal bed, a water massage bed, a sauna, a steam room, and more. Desaur provides a truly relaxing ambiance and gives you the feeling of being in an upscale spa, but the prices remain reasonable. They even have a Birthday Club that will get you 15% off a 50-minute massage or facial during the month of your birthday!
Burke Williams Day Spa - With ten locations in Los Angeles, this day spa is a great one to check out. Family owned and operated since 1984, this cornerstone of LA spas knows what’s up. With treatments ranging from massage therapy, to facials, to mani/pedis, to wet room treatments, there is sure to be something to help you unwind and relax.
Tomoko Spa - This Japanese spa feels like something out of a dream. The minimalist decor instantly puts you in a tranquil spa state of mind. Once you arrive, you slip out of your own clothes and into a traditional kimono robe and wooden sandals. You are offered tea and a variety of irresistible snacks. Their signature Tomoko Massage is available for a solo visit as well as for couples.
Hotel Bel-Air Spa - If you’re looking for luxury, this is your spot. It boasts a private nail suite, a relaxation lounge, and a 570-square-foot private suite for couples or groups up to 10 people. Their signature treatment is the “vitality of the stars” treatment, a 90-minute facial that will cost you $1,000.
