DESTINATION: London W/ Jill Paider
London is the greatest metropolis in the world. It doesn’t matter how long you live here or how many times you visit, there’s always something new to see and do. It is constantly evolving and the true melting pot of all cultures around the globe. It is home to the top art galleries, museums, performing arts, music and shopping venues. Your choices are unlimited, and choosing is not an easy task!
I originally interned here during university, and then decided to move back to go to graduate school at the London School of Economics. I have had the pleasure of returning many times to teach photography and consult at the University of the Arts London.
Food & Wine
It certainly wasn’t always the case, but London has made its way to becoming a major food capital of the world. You will find the best of English gourmet pub food and international cuisine along with the hottest trending restaurants, chefs and bars.
Getting There & Away: Direct flights daily from most major U.S. cities.
Budgeting Tips: Accommodations likely will be your biggest expense in London. Once that’s covered though, you have many dining options and tourist attractions that are low-cost or free of charge.
Packing Considerations: London tends to be quite humid, which can add to the chill in the air. Bring an extra layer or jacket for the evening and always have an umbrella with you just in case.
Good To Know: London has the most prolific public transport in the world. You can get around the city very easily without having to take taxis or car service. It’s also a great walking city. I recommend choosing a neighborhood to explore for the day on foot.
